At RDS Landscaping & Design we provide professional landscape services to the Charlotte-Metro region. In 1996 two brothers, Aaron and Doug Suttenfield joined together to cut some lawns and make some money while home from college for the summer. What started out as a summer job became a career and has blossomed into a company that performs everything from cutting a lawn to an expansive outdoor living area. The company is named for their older brother Robert Dillard Suttenfield IV, Bobby, who tragically passed away in the spring of 1996. As a way to honor him the company was named RDS. Aaron Suttenfield has been the sole owner of RDS since 1998 and continues to manage the day to day operations.

Over the last 16 years RDS has worked with hundreds of home owners, commercial customers, and government agencies on a wide array of lawn maintenance and landscape projects. This knowledge and experience guides us as we work with each client. I once heard a company say, “We aren’t the best because we are the oldest, we are the oldest because we are the best.” It sounds cliche to say but we believe there is some truth to that. As landscape companies have come and gone RDS has stood firm by simply doing what we say we will do. That simple formula continues to guide us each day.
